Dave Foster has been working with mesothelioma patients and their families for over a decade.
Dave discusses his role in Patient Advocacy:
First and foremost, we make sure the family is receiving the best medical care available. We provide contact information of specialists with extensive experience in treating patients with lung cancer or mesothelioma.
I have made it my mission to personally meet with top medical specialists around the world, and I have consistently attended every major national and international mesothelioma meeting. I do this to be on top of the latest treatments, clinical trials, research results, and to personally meet with physicians and staff taking care of our patients.
In some cases, we facilitate travel assistance and grants to ensure patients receive the care they desperately need.
Role from a legal perspective:
We are fierce advocates for our clients and guarantee our clients are treated with respect. Our staff is available 24/7, 365 days/year, taking phone calls on holidays, after hours, and on weekends. We want our clients to understand we work for them.
Our main goal is to maximize recoveries for our clients.
We have occasionally taken tougher cases pro bono.
Dave’s personal mission:
My father was a dentist; however, he worked his way through college doing masonry work (the family business). Unfortunately, at the time it was an accepted practice to mix asbestos with the mortar to improve adhesion and durability. Asbestos was also used in the dental field.
He died twelve years ago from asbestos-related lung cancer.
Watching him go through the various stages of his cancer was heart-wrenching. He is the inspiration I use for each of our clients.
I understand the importance of providing hope for a cure, conveying empathy if the disease progresses, and understanding frustration over the pain this disease often causes.
Staying on top of the latest treatments and research:
I consistently attend all major national and international mesothelioma meetings. In doing so, I’m able to stay on top of the latest treatments, clinical trials, and research results.
