Anna’s Story
I have been blessed with an amazing family. I began working with Mesothelioma.net in 2010, just shortly after losing a loved one to cancer. The loss I experienced has taught me to be a compassionate listener. This skill helps me bring strong levels of comfort when I’m discussing sensitive topics with patients and their families.
Having a loved one suffer through a terminal illness can be one of the most trying times, and it created a hunger for knowledge in me. I began attending meetings and symposiums related to mesothelioma on behalf of Mesothelioma.net to support any efforts that were being made to help patients through their medical and legal needs.
Building Relationships and Providing Hope
Throughout a patient’s mesothelioma journey, we build a long-standing relationship. Every patient is unique and has specific requests. My goal is to determine how I can help each patient best and then provide them with the tools they need: knowledge, hope, and continuing emotional support. That is what I love about my job.
If you need someone to listen to you or someone to guide you along your journey with mesothelioma, I’m always happy to help.
