Megan McNally, MD
Dr. Megan McNally is a surgeon and surgical oncologist who practices at Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, Missouri. Trained in da Vinci Robotic-assisted surgery and skilled in the use of cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, she treats patients diagnosed with peritoneal malignancies including malignant peritoneal mesothelioma.
Dr. McNally’s surgeries make extensive use of minimally invasive approaches. Her practice includes the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, colorectal carcinoma, gastric cancer, hepatobiliary cancers, and appendiceal carcinoma.
Education and Career
Dr. McNally graduated from a specialized six-year Bachelor of Liberal Arts-Medical Degree program offered by the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She then completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at Truman Medical Centers and Saint Luke’s Hospitals, both associated with the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She completed a master’s degree in Medical Science at The Ohio State University.[1]
Following completion of her education and training, Dr. McNally joined Saint Luke’s Health System. She is board-certified with the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology.
Professional Memberships and Activities
Dr. McNally serves on the General Surgery Coding and Reimbursement Committee for the American College of Surgeons (ACS). She is also the advisor for the ACS to the AMA CPT editorial Panel and serves as Vice-Chair for the General Surgery residency through the University of Missouri, Kansas City.[1] She has been a frequent presenter at professional meetings and has published numerous articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed medical journals.
