Seth Blank, MD
Dr. Seth Blank is a thoracic surgeon who treats patients diagnosed with lung cancer, pleural mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, and other thoracic malignancies. He is a member of the active staff at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine, and previously practiced at Maine Thoracic Surgery in Falmouth, Maine.[1]
Dr. Blank is skilled in video-assisted thoracic surgery and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of thoracic malignancies.
Education and Career
Dr. Blank’s medical degree was earned at the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Surgery and a residency in General Surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut, and a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in both Surgery and Thoracic Surgery.[1]
Dr. Blank was a founding member of Maine Medical Center’s Thoracic Oncology Center and also established Mercy Hospital’s Lung Cancer Screening Program.
