Dr. Lin’s research centers on the molecular changes involved in the pathogenesis of thoracic malignancies. As a member of the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center’s Thoracic Tumor Biology Laboratory, he is working towards moving the results of his investigations into tailored therapies for patients with tumors expressing specific molecular targets and discovering novel diagnostic, staging, and treatment modalities. He has already identified several novel molecular changes involved in the pathogenesis of esophageal adenocarcinoma and is currently investigating potential targets in the treatment and prevention of metastatic disease, as well as the modulation of chemoresistance.[1]
