Suma Reddy-Satti, MD
Dr. Suma Reddy-Satti is a senior physician and thoracic medical oncologist with the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana. She specializes in the care of patients diagnosed with malignant pleural mesothelioma and lung cancer as well as in head and neck cancers. She sees patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center in Jefferson, Louisiana, as well as at St.Tammany Cancer Center in Covington, Louisiana, where she is the Vice Chair for Hematology/Oncology. She also serves as director of Chemotherapy Infusion.[1]
Education and Career
Dr. Reddy-Satti earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, and then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the Ochsner Clinical Foundation. She also completed a fellowship there in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
Since completing her medical education and training, Dr. Reddy-Satti has remained at Ochsner Health. She is the Vice Chair for Hematology/Oncology at St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of the Ochsner Medical Center and part of the Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center foundation that was established in 2023.[1]
Research
Dr. Reddy-Satti is actively involved in research, and is currently working on a clinical trial investigating radiation therapy regimen use in patients with limited-stage small-cell lung cancer receiving cisplatin and etoposide.[1]
