Gaurav Marwaha, MD
Dr. Gaurav Marwaha is a radiation oncologist, associate professor, and interim chairperson in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. His areas of expertise include the use of intensity-modulated radiation therapy, palliative radiation therapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery for the treatment of patients diagnosed with lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma, as well as chest tumors, esophageal cancer, gynecologic cancer, Hodgkin lymphoma, mediastinal tumors, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and thymoma.[1]
Education and Career
Dr. Marwaha earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as a residency in Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Marwaha is currently the interim chairperson or the Department of Radiation Oncology at Rush University Medical Center. He specializes in treating patients diagnosed with thoracic cancers, including pleural mesothelioma.
He is also an associate professor and serves as the program director for the Radiation Oncology Residency program at Rush University Medical College.
Dr. Marwaha sees patients at the University Radiation Medicine Building in Chicago. His other locations include Rush Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park and an office in Lisle, Illinois.

Dr. Marwaha is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Board of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Brachytherapy Society.[1]
Research
Dr. Marwaha’s primary clinical research interests are in stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), palliative radiation oncology, and the novel incorporation of radiation with targeted/immunotherapies.[1]
