Taine T.V. Pechet, MD
Dr. Taine T.V. Pechet is a thoracic oncologist at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia. He holds the titles of Chief of Surgery at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Professor of Clinical Surgery, and in those roles treats patients with advanced lung and esophageal cancers as well as other thoracic cancers like malignant pleural mesothelioma. Dr. Pechet has extensive experience and expertise in treating these challenging illnesses. He is highly skilled in robotic surgical approaches to lung disease.[1]
Dr. Pechet’s extensive repertoire of surgical skills has made him an invaluable addition to several of Penn’s specialty programs. He is part of the Penn Esophageal and Foregut Surgery Services; the Penn Gastrointestinal Cancer Program; the Penn Lung Cancer Program; the Penn Lung Nodule Program; and the Penn Thoracic Surgery Program.[1]
Education and Career
Dr. Pechet received his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in surgery at Carney Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Washington University Medical Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.[1]
