Alexandra Funaki, DO
Dr. Alexandra Funaki is a diagnostic radiology at the University of Chicago’s Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine in Hyde Park, Illinois. She is part of the Department of Radiology – Thoracic Imaging and specializes in pulmonary parenchymal and thoracic vascular imaging.[1]
Dr. Funaki analyzes and interprets chest CT scans and radiographs to diagnose thoracic disease. Her areas of expertise include lung cancer, malignant pleural mesothelioma, atypical infections including fungal pneumonia and nontuberculous mycobacterial pneumonia, pulmonary hypertension, vascular malformations in the thorax, and interstitial lung disease/pulmonary fibrosis.[1]
Education and Career
Dr. Funaki earned her medical degree at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at the West Suburban Medical Center and her residency at the University of Chicago Medicine.[1]
